Had my LaPierre bike stolen after thieves used a grinder to cut the security. But by coordinating with the local police using the Alterlock positioning the bike was sucessfully recovered. Would highly recommend.

Setup was easy.
The use of AlterLock in addition to the keylock gives me peace of mind.
The volume could be louder.

It would let me know if there is something unusual even if I am out of sight... I think this alone is worth installing. I have installed it in both of the cars I own.
But don't be overconfident, do daily test runs, etc. to check whether the alarm goes off normally? Do you receive notifications on your phone? If the system does not notify you of an abnormality, you should check the status of the system.
I had a problem before where no notifications were sent out, and when I contacted support, they kindly told me how to deal with the problem, which was a relief, but I feel that checks should be carried out to avoid missing something that is not working...

I'm generally happy with it, but overall I feel like it could still be improved.
I'm hoping for more features and specs in updates and gen3.
Real-time tracking with updates every second or so.
Battery life more than doubled.
Stable Bluetooth connection range.
Connecting, unlocking and locking with Apple Watch.
Vibration + alarm function at 5m of positional movement.
Other functional improvements are expected.
The last major system of vibration detection has a lot of false positives, and I feel it would be easier to use if a system that recognises by GPS position movement could also be added as a mode.

It's a lot more stable, but sometimes I get a bad connection. It can be fixed by restarting the device, so it's okay.

With the wire lock alone, it was unnerving just to be away for a short while, but it gives me peace of mind and allows me to take a break. In case the alarm goes off, I use a smartwatch, which is very convenient for me because I can notice the notification more easily than with my phone.

I use it together with the Abs Blade Lock.
I haven't yet had a situation where the alarm sounds, but it gives me peace of mind when I'm away from my road bike, for example for lunch.

We also use wire locks, but they are not as secure. Road bikes are not cheap, so I can rely on the Alterlock to be as effective as a car security alarm. The only thing I would like to see improved is better battery life. Also, it would be helpful if you could notify me via a notification on my phone when the battery is about to run out.

I often ride my road bike alone and my breaks are almost always at convenience stores, so I can now go to the toilet without worry that I will be out of sight.
I also feel safe in the fact that it is a deterrent, as habitual thieves will be aware of the famous Alterlock.
The operating sound when locking and unlocking also appeals to those around you.

It makes me feel very safe and secure away from my bike.

I had it fitted at a bicycle shop. It does not spoil the aesthetics of the bike under the bottle gauge. When I park my bike out of sight, I use a chain lock and here. I think it is a necessity for a good bicycle rider. However, the batteries need to be recharged every time you ride.

I use it inside my house and in a covered bicycle parking area in front of the station, and the GPS works inside my house, but it doesn't pick up the GPS at all in the covered bicycle parking area. I am worried if it really works when stolen.

Sometimes the notifications don't arrive as often as they are supposed to, but I'm generally satisfied.
I think it's a very good prevention against theft.

I've never had it work when I'm parked on my bike yet, so sometimes I wonder if it's safe, but I can think it's safer than not doing anything at all.
In that respect, I'm glad I have it on.

Operating the app when locking and unlocking the door is a hassle.
There is a lag between launching the app and the Bluetooth connection, which was not as smooth as I had imagined.
The physical buttons also react differently, sometimes they do and sometimes they don't.
The service itself is very good, so it would be nice to be able to lock and unlock more easily.

I have been using it for six months.
I am approximately satisfied with the frequency of charging and the accuracy of the locations it displays. I am not sure if it will really help me if I have a problem, as it does not show the location in real time. Also, the location information is sometimes interrupted when you move outside of your home. There is room for improvement in this area, so 3 stars.

I ride solo a lot and was really worried about convenience stores and during meals, but this product has allowed me to enjoy my rides with peace of mind.

This is a very good product as it improves my worries about theft a lot.
However, I over-torqued the screws and they cracked through the screw holes... out of three. All of them did so.
I thought the torque strength was too sensitive for me.

Not only does it prevent theft, but it is also very effective in preventing tampering and making people hesitant to touch it.
