I’m using AlterLock on my road bike. ① Good points: The warning sound is quite loud. It’s fixed with special bolts so it can’t be easily detached. ② Points for improvement:
Turning the barrier on/off manually from the smartphone is inconvenient.
It would be perfect if it could automatically turn on when riding and
automatically turn off when you get off the bike. I’d be grateful if you could consider these improvements.

The usability has improved significantly compared to the first generation. It’s perfect as you can also check the location on a map. I think it would be good if a small surveillance camera was built-in, so that if the bike is taken, it could send the culprit’s face to your phone for response. Not just for bicycles, but I’d buy small transmitters for wheels too if they were available. I have expensive wheels as well.

While the golden rule is to keep an eye on your bike as much as possible when you’re out, the truth is that you sometimes want to eat while on a cycling trip.
In such times, having AlterLock gives you peace of mind because if it detects anything, you’ll get an immediate notification on your smartphone. So even if someone tries to break the lock, you can quickly go check, and the alarm is quite loud and startling, which greatly reduces the possibility of theft.
Thanks to AlterLock, I can eat without worrying too much about theft, making my trips more enjoyable. It’s been very helpful!

Until now, for security, I was using knog’s product called scout.
It was convenient, especially for iPhone users.
When attached to a bike rack, it would sound immediately with a slight breeze, so I eventually got used to thinking, ‘Oh, again…’
By chance,
I switched to AlterLock, which has auto-lock function and sensitivity adjustment. Above all, the reconnection between the device and phone after returning from being away is fast! With the previous one, this reconnection often required restarting the app, which was troublesome… 😭
There is a monthly fee, but I think it’s acceptable as a subscription for peace of mind and security.
If I could wish for one thing, it would be a battery percentage indicator… I’m looking forward to updates.

It is very helpful because the charge lasts a long time. It is very convenient because it sends a notification to my cell phone whenever there is some kind of shock, no matter where I am. Also, I can see my current location on my cell phone and confirm that I have not moved, which is reassuring. For some reason, I was surprised when the alarm sounded twice due to a malfunction, but I was able to confirm that I had not moved by checking my location, which was good.

I use my road bike for everyday use and for Uber Eats deliveries, but with Gen2 I had to open the app every time or press a button to lock it.
With Gen3 it automatically locks when I leave my phone and the battery life is better.
I use a special screw to fix it and it feels much more secure.
I recommend this not only for road bikes but also for any bike that can fit a drink holder.

As expected, location information is accurate since it is GPS.
The charging terminal is also Type-C, which is good for sharing.
As a request, it would be helpful if there is no limit to the number of units, instead of 3 units per contract. In the future, it would be good if the size and battery capacity are made smaller, and if the battery can be charged for about three months on a single charge, which is about half a year old, the frequency of charging will be reduced.

I have been using Alterlock since the first generation. While the power supply has lasted a really long time, it is very cumbersome to have to turn it on every time I get on. It would be great if you could switch that on the app as well. I pay a monthly fee, so it doesn’t matter much, but for Android users, I think the latest generation of bike alarms is the only choice for Alterlock.

I have used Gen2 and Gen3, and I think Gen3’s compact size and improved battery life are very good. On the other hand, the volume has been reduced, which is a negative from a warning point of view.

There is also an alarm function, but because the main unit is compact, the volume is quite low, and expectations are low in terms of threats and deterrence.
In addition, the abnormality detection sensor can set sensitivity, but it seems to detect vibration, and even the weakest may become a false alarm depending on the environment of the parking place (when using a motorcycle).
When parking at highway SAs, etc. and a vehicle with thick and high sound pressure such as a Harley comes next to you, it will trigger an alarm. If a vehicle with high sound pressure comes next to you, it will alarm at once.
It has auto-lock as a function, but I don’t know if it is incompatibility with my phone or individual difference, but it is not very stable and sometimes it is not locked unless you check it carefully.
There are some disadvantages, but even if they are not the case, they are very cost-effective and easy to install, making them very safe and reliable.
Personally, I think that if a separate alarm (with a built-in battery) could be connected as an option to enhance the alarm sound, or if the sensor could be used in combination with a tilt sensor to reduce false alarms, it would further increase reliability and double the sense of security, so please take these measures for new models!

驚いたのはバッテリーの持ちの良さですね。この冬を一回の充電で乗り切りました。Sramは二回充電、サイコンも一回w
唯一の欠点は振動による警告ブザー音が小さい事。以前爆音の中華リアライト使ってたので盗難予防保全には最適でした。オプションで追加ブザーユニットってのも有りじゃないでしょうか。この本体では難しいでしょうから。アプリのUIはOkです。
ただ心配なのはbluetoothの範囲内でないと通知されない事なので通信契約しようかどうか迷ってます。

安心感がまるで違う。サイクリングしていると、トイレや食事、買い物などで自転車を離れなければならないことがあります。その時いくら注意していても目が届かなくなります。その時このAlterLockがセットされていれば気持ちの上でとても安心です。自信を持ってお勧めできます。
一方で商品の改善点も2つほど。①アラーム音がもっと大きくしてほしい ②ロック＆解除のボタン操作がたまに反応しないことがあります。その時はバックポケットからスマホを取り出し、アプリ上から解除しています。これが意外とストレスです。

サービスを契約しているのでモバイル通信が有効となり定期通信で位置情報を確認する事ができるので、とても安心です。
デバイスとの接続が知らないうちに数回切れていた事があるので、その点を改良できたらと思います。

デバイスの操作はBluetooth接続中に行えます。と、Blootooth接続中にアプリでていてロック及びアンロックができない自称が多発しています。そうなると危機をはずし水平にして初期化が必要になります。
ただの現在地記録アプリになりさがってしまっています（揺れたときに鳴ってくれますが）。自転車を縦置きで置いているのでそれがまずいのか、他の人もそうなのか気になります。

もし夜間に盗難警報通知が送られてきた場合、就寝中では通知に気付く事が遅れる場合がありますのでAIによる電話も合わせて通知できればさらに良いと思います。
それ以外はとても良い性能と思います。
